The semi private River Club at Litchfield has proven to be one of the most challenging courses in the Myrtle Beach area and a favorite amoung returning golfers. True to its name, River Club features water on 15 of 18 holes, and over 100 sand traps and bunkers. Long hitters have some room off the tee, but approch shots need to be true. The dramatic par 5,18th is unquestionably one of the finest holes on the Grand Strand, offering risk and reward to those who can carry the water twice for possible eagle.

This Tom Jackson design has shot up the list of most requested-courses on the Grand Strand following a fairly extensive renovation. The greens were completely re-done with A-1 bent grass, the same surface that is on the greens at Augusta National. They roll fast and true. This is a great test of golf, so bring you're a-game.

Now one the highest rated courses in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” in 2006 with 4 ½ Stars, the semi-private River Club is the only course on the South Strand with bentgrass greens.
