Ranked among the "50 Best Public Courses in America" by Golf Digest, Heritage Club was sculpted from 600 acres of 300-year-old oaks, freshwater lakes and marshes by designer/developer Larry Young. Built on the site of two former rice plantations on Pawleys Island, Heritage reflects a history of gracious, tasteful living.

The par-71 Heritage course features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crape myrtle, camellias and azaleas. A magnificent avenue of oaks leads to the 12,000-square-foot clubhouse, built in the Southern Colonial style, overlooking the Waccamaw River. Heavily landscaped areas of wildflowers and flowering shrubs will maintain the beauty of this historical setting for generations to come.**** 1/2, Golf Digest "Places To Play."

Your day at the Heritage Club is a trip back in time. Built on two of South Carolina’s historic plantations along the scenic Waccamaw River, the Heritage Club was recently honored by Golf Digest as # 46 in the “Top 100 Public Courses in America” for 2007-2008 and recently rated 4 ½ – Stars in “Places to Play,” the Heritage Club is a mixture of pure Southern charm and hospitality.

This past summer saw new Champions Bermuda greens were installed. It is a “must play” on your next trip.
